Walking Tour of Old Canton and New Guangzhou

When the Netherlands’ field hockey team (40+ category) stopped over in Guangzhou on their way to the World Cup in Auckland, they were ready for some local exploration before the big competition. We took them on a walking tour from the historic Dongshankou neighborhood to the modern marvel of Zhujiang New Town, culminating in a delicious Cantonese dinner. They were ready for what became a bronze medal!

2. Off-the-beaten Path Exploration of Kaiping's Watch Towers

Mousa Dembélé, the famous Belgian football/soccer player who played in Guangzhou for years, came back to the city with his childhood friends. After a day exploring the historic Guangzhou, we took them on a wild bike ride to the lesser-known villages of Kaiping, exploring century-old villas and iconic watch towers. With private transport, snacks, and a delightful lunch included, it was a perfect blend of adventure and culture.

3. Casual Morning Ride along the Pearl River

For L'Oréal's management offsite event, we offered a refreshing start to the day with a scenic morning bike ride with 40 people. Setting off at their hotel in Zhujiang New Town, we rode along the Pearl River Greenway, past Huangpu Ancient Village, and finished with coffee, snacks, and a little music to energize the group for a day of collaboration, creativity and new ideas.

4. A Glimpse of Old Canton: Walking tour for the German Ambassador

During her official visit to Guangzhou, the German Ambassador to China was eager to experience the authentic side of the city, beyond the formal government meetings and air-conditioned banquets. With just an hour to spare, we took her and her team on an enriching walking tour through some of the most historic neighborhoods. Along the way, she discovered grand master studios showcasing the local Lingnan culture, passed by local fruit markets and stumbled upon a hidden church tucked away in a maze of alleyways. After a peaceful walk along the restored Lizhiwan Canal, she arrived at her next dinner appointment—an unforgettable taste of the ‘real Guangzhou’ in just 60 minutes.

5. 'Made in China' Walking Tour to Zhongda Garments Markets

A fascinating and eye-opening experience for several European consul generals in Guangzhou. We developed a custom walking tour through the Zhongda Garments Wholesale Area, where participants learned about the history and future of the garment industry in Guangzhou and this particular neighborhood. The tour included a presentation, visits to workshops, markets, and local factories, offering a rare glimpse into the true meaning behind "Made in China."

6. Pubcrawl-on-Wheels Reveals Guangzhou's Craft Beer Scene

Volkswagen’s staff at their Foshan factory experienced a one-of-a-kind tour: a pub crawl on wheels! We cycled through the lively alleyways of Guangzhou, stopping at five of the city's coolest craft beer bars. At each stop, participants enjoyed a taste of local brews, and the lively atmosphere ensured plenty of fun along the way.

7. Walking Tour through Guangzhou's Fashion Scene

For an Australian family with teenage sons, we curated a stylish tour of Guangzhou’s vibrant fashion scene. Starting in Dongshankou, we visited and shopped at trendy boutiques run by local designers whose work reaches a global audience. The highlight was a visit to the Zhongda Garments Market, where the family gained a fascinating insight into the fashion process, from concept to creation, while touring workshops and factories.

8. Family-friendly Exploration of Hidden Guangzhou

For staff at the US Consulate, we arranged a family bike ride through the charming, lesser-known neighborhoods of Xiguan and Nanhuaxi. From Bruce Lee's ancestral home to China's most famous Lion Dance studio, and the dried seafood Qingping market to the foreign concession of Shamian island. While the children enjoyed exploring the rooftops of old villas, the adults were treated to fascinating stories about Old Canton. It was a fun, interactive way for families to experience the city’s rich history and culture together.

9. Luxury Yachting & Beach Getaway in Shenzhen

For a group of expat friends looking to escape the city, we organized a memorable weekend getaway to a stunning beach paradise in Shenzhen's remote beaches. The adventure began with a relaxing afternoon aboard two private yachts, cruising through Daya Bay, sliding into the ocean and enjoying prosecco on the deck. The day ended with a delicious BBQ, and the following morning featured a scenic hike with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. 10. Scavenger Hunt adventure of historic Xiguan

For the New Zealand Consulate, we organized one of our most popular team activities: a Scavenger Hunt through historic Xiguan. Divided into teams, participants competed through a series of challenges that tested teamwork, creativity, and speed. Along the way, they explored the Yongqingfang Cultural Zone, the colonial-era streets of Shamian Island, and the maze-like alleyways of old Xiguan—learning about local history and culture while battling for the coveted prizes.

11. Team Building Outing in the Mountains of Shaoguan

For the Danish Consulate, we organized a two-day, one-night team-building retreat to the scenic mountains of Shaoguan. The program combined outdoor activities with team challenges, allowing colleagues to bond and relax in a beautiful, natural setting. After trips to Qingyuan and Kaiping in previous years, this adventure was the perfect escape to recharge and collaborate in a fresh environment.
